2nd Annual Campfire/Cookout/Movie and Vaultarama #4
Join Patriot Pole Vault Club on August 23rd for a fun-filled day. Starting at 3pm (2pm warmups) we'll be hosting the last of our summer Vaultarama Series at Westborough High School. Following the competition sometime around 6 or 7pm, drive on over to Coach Ingrid's in Shrewsbury for a cookout and campfire event. We'll make smores, shoot some hoops, and eat some tasty food as we enjoy one of the last days of summer. Say goodbye to our scholar-athletes as they head off to college this Fall and wish a "Happy Birthday"" to a few of our club vaulters! Feel free to invite friends and family to come along. Email Coach Ingrid if you would like to bring something such as snacks, desserts, chips, plates, napkins, soda/juice, etc. See you at the vaulting and fire pits on the 23rd.
2009 National Pole Vault Summit - Reno, NV
Imagine 2,000 vaulters, coaches and fans gathered for a weekend of non-stop pole vaulting. The annual National Pole Vault Summit is held in Reno, NV to "promote safety and encourage development of pole vaulting at all ability levels." Patriot Pole Vault Club would like to extend an invitation to all club and New England area pole vaulters to join us this year to mingle with the country's best coaches and vaulters. Vaultarama #2 & #3 Results

second and third Vaultarama's. August 2nd's competiton was
a challenge in itself, battling through thunder and ligthning
storms to get in all vaulters. The August 8th competition
saw over 25 competitiors with multiple person records. Congratulations
to Jillena and Rachel who cleared 11'9" and 8'6".

Vaultaramas, Sneaker Donations, and T-Shirt Design Contest, oh my!
The Patriot Pole Vault Club will be hosting
four Vaultarama vault competitions throughout this summer.
The competitions will be open to all vaulters provided they
have a current USATF membership. Cost is $10 for club members
and $15 for non-club athletes. Congratulations to Amy from
Marlborough for her winning design. Her shirt is available
in green, black, and hot pink for $15. Bring your old sneakers
to receive a discounted entrance fee and cleanse your house

Coach Doug has finally gotten the Pole Vault Certification
materials into a downloadable form. The Power
Point Presentation is rather large - 128MB zipped
- due to the size of the movies contained inside. The Handout
Packet is in MS Word format and is 3.2 MB in size. Download them by
right clicking on the above links and selecting "Save Link
As..."
